Kuwait Financial Centre “Markaz” has signed an agreement with Touché for Sports Development Management sponsoring a program aiming to empower women through sports and to help society development. Under the slogan “Sport is My Right”, Touché organized a sport open day for women only in a closed hall in Al Kuwait Sports Club, on Friday the 24th of May 2013.
Basma Ghareeb, Vice President - Media & Communications at Markaz, said “Within our constant efforts to support activities geared toward social development, Markaz has sponsored Touches’ program which aims to promote women’s right to undertake sports activities and to spread general health education among Kuwaiti families and the society at large.”
Ghareeb added: “Thus we have participated as a sponsor for the women sport day organized by Touché under the slogan ‘Sport is My Right’. The event’s program included basketball, table tennis, and indoor football in addition to first aid training, health lectures delivered by health and nutrition specialists, an art workshop and free health tests provided by professionals.”
Touché for Sports Development Management is a nonprofit company conducting sports program around the world to empower women in using sports as a development tool. The company’s sports program enjoys an outstanding international rank and was nominated to receive several international awards.
