Kuwait Financial Centre “Markaz” announced sponsoring the First Regional Technology & Social Networking Forum, which was held in the State of Kuwait under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah during 17-18 March 2013.
Basma Ghareeb, Vice President – Media & Communications at Markaz said "Markaz sponsorship of this forum reflects its keenness to contribute to technological development in the social media area, given their direct impact on business environment and the society at large. Ghareeb added: “The forum addressed several topics during its session including social media strategies, for which the session was chaired by Markaz CEO Mr. Manaf Alhajery. The forum also addressed other topics including the legal and legislative aspects of social media, technological development related to social media and social media economics.”
The forum witnessed several key speeches delivered by local and international experts including General Director of Kuwait’s Central Agency for Information Technology Mr. Abdulateef Al-Suraie CEO and Founder of Tashkil Media Group Dr. Nayef Al-Mutawa and Twitter representative Mr. Kava Gharib.
