Markaz announced its participation as a Platinum Sponsor in the “Crafts Heritage 2011” event that is organized by Bayt Lothan from 19-23 of February 2011, under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Al Sabah.
On this occasion, Mariam Al Suwailem, Assistant Manager - Media & Communications said, “Markaz supports cultural and educational events aiming at preserving and sustaining Kuwait’s rich heritage. The transfer of knowledge of traditional craftsmanship to the youth familiarizes them with the sacrifices Kuwaitis endured to build this country. We liked the idea of the event and the role it takes in connecting old and new generations together through highlighting Kuwait’s crafts heritage which is part of kuwait’s heritage we all take pride in.”
Bayt Lothan is a non-profit organization, which serves the community by targeting the promotion of arts and crafts in Kuwait. It provides creative and artistic people with the opportunity to exhibit their designs and work by promoting their events in its premises.
