In our field, these figures are noticeable.” Ms. Al-Hamad added “More importantly, women form a fundamental component of the decision making process and leadership at Markaz, demonstrated in the number of women holding senior positions at Markaz. There are currently two Senior Vice Presidents, three Vice Presidents and five women who are Assistant Vice Presidents. Women are known for their excellent communications and organizational skills, and this has lead Markaz’s female managers to play a large part in the Company’s success.” Ms. Al-Hamad concluded “Female clients make up an important fraction of our client base. It also leads to long-term financial security and prosperity.” Ms. Al-Hamad, a working mother of three, joined Markaz as Vice President, Marketing & Private Banking in 1998. She later set up a full-fledged Human Resources & Administration Department to address the growing needs of Markaz. Prior to that, she served as a foreign exchange and money market dealer for nine years.
