Markaz Sponsors the 5th Professional Conference for Accounting & Auditing

Markaz announced its sponsorship for the Fifth Professional Conference for Accounting and Auditing under the slogan of “Towards an Efficient Profession”. The conference will be held under the patronage of the H.H. the Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al Sabah from 15-16 February 2017 at the Conference Hall of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce, with the supervision and organization of Kuwait’s Association of Accounts and Auditors. The conference will witness the participation of professionals and those related to this profession such as financial reports creators, financial controllers, academics and related government sectors.

Mr. Alrazi Y. Albudaiwi, Vice President and Head of Media & Communications at Markaz said: “This sponsorship reflects our commitment to support the activities of civil society organizations and professional associations that aim to contribute in leveraging the professional, scientific and cultural levels in the Kuwaiti society. Albudaiwi added: “We would like to thank Kuwait’s Association of Accounts & Auditors for organizing this conference, which will provide an excellent opportunity to exchange views and experiences on many of the accounting topics, as well as define the obstacles that face the accountants today and provide suggestions to overcome them. The conference will also provide an opportunity to learn the latest developments in the accounting field and benefit from the international participants’ experiences, which will help raise the level of professionals in Kuwait and enrich their knowledge, as well as develop the profession based to keep up with international developments and reach the economic and social objectives.”

With the participation of the Arab Federation of Accountants and Auditors, GCC Accounting and Auditing Organization and The International Arab Society of Certified Accountants (IASCA), the conference will focus on many topics such as: The role of audit institutions in maintaining the countries’ economies, the government accounting on an accrual basis and its role in raising the financial system efficiency in the state, accounting disclosure and international standards of financial reporting and its impact on investment decisions, recent trends in the audit profession, and promoting social responsibility and sustainability.
