Built on a foundation of quality and trust, we provide independent, custom-tailored investment advisory and portfolio strategy solutions to our institutional and individual clients. We help our clients develop an asset allocation strategy taking into account their circumstances, investment objectives, risk profile and expectations on projected return, while also providing them platforms to invest in international equity and bond markets via managed accounts, direct participation in funds and a range of other products. A key function of the team involves the identification and evaluation of fund managers who can help us to implement our investment strategy. The manager will be an expert in the region/sector and/or specific theme that we would like an exposure to. Over the years, Markaz has excelled in identifying quality managers, which is the result of a thorough due-diligence process, based on qualitative and quantitative criteria, and can be taken note of from the returns of our products.

In May 2015, we launched the Mawazeen International Fund, the first of its kind in Kuwait approved by the CMA to enable local investors diversify their global investment portfolios in international markets using Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). We have been pioneers in the usage of ETFs as an active investment strategy in Kuwait through the predecessor of Mawazeen, the Atlas ETF funds Program which was launched in Kuwait in 2005 and achieved out-performance over broad market and sector indices using ETFs.
